I was on the way back home after lab when i bumped into Weiliang and David. It’s been a while since we caught up. Happy Chinese New Year! For the past number of Chinese New Years, I would typically get up around 7+ am, greet my grandfather, grandmother, dad.. and in return, would receive the customary red packets. As we are officially not celebrating this year, the occasion does seem somewhat strange and muted. Looking back at the past, when I was much younger, I had always looked forward to Chinese New Year. Woe betides me. I have fallen for the common cliché of the most commercialized day in history - Valentine’s Day. Buildup to the day was hectic but still very much fun. I must really thank Andy and Linghuey for helping me with the ideas, settings, and keeping me company as we go about shopping!
