After a grueling 30 hours, of which 21 hours flying time and 9 hrs transit, I made it! I am in Orlando, Florida. It’s summer now so the weather is exactly like back home. At least there’s aircon in the room :) This is going to be a short trip, 4 days to be exact and no weekend to explore as well, probably even less free time than the last work trip I was on. Oh well, at least it is a different place and I shall make the most out of it. …
a Long (Awaited?) Update
I have not blogged for awhile. Now is an appropriate time to start again as at least it provides an alternative means of communication with Jiali now that she will be working in Shanghai over the next couple of months. Anyway, life has changed quite a fair bit since the last time I blogged. I have been fortunate to travel quite a fair bit (be it for work or leisure) and have now increased the number of places I have visited this year. Looking ahead across the short term horizon, more opportunities to come as Florida and Vietnam awaits. I...…
Time to Buck Up
when one door closes.. another opens… we are often so preoccupied with the loss of some opportunities that we tend to miss the new opportunities present to us. I have been lucky at my career. It has not been the smoothest of paths but I am happy with what chances and opportunities it has given me thus far. Its going to be a challenging year ahead.. and that just means it is time to work harder! Anyway, I am seriously getting fatter. Weighing in at about 65 kg now, and it is definitely not muscle mass gained. UNFORTUNATELY. Haha… I...…
First Visit to India
Day 1 (Wed) We arrived early in the wee hours of the morning, majority of the crew had reached before me and was sitting around. About 7, a bus brought us to the aircraft and it was already filled with most of our components. We had to squeeze past our baggage and equipment which were loaded to the rear of the aircraft as we boarded and our seats were pulled down straps and harnesses. There were basically 4 rows, with 2...…
staying Fit
I am all of a sudden motivated once again to start exercising and whipping my body into shape once more. This feeling has came and gone for quite a few times in my life and I have to admit that each moment of burst it has at least forced me to keep in relatively decent shape which is a good thing. I have all too often let myself lose to the laziness. Well, how long will this new found momentum be able to carry itself? I doubt it will last more than a week or two to be honest, what...…
móvil y Móviles
The girlfriend lost her phone couple of weeks ago which resulted in a mad scramble around town to get a new sim card. It turned out more painful than I initially imagined. We were first at Anchorpoint when the loss was discovered. By then, the perpetuator had already turned off the phone. We could only deactivate it and went to get a new sim. We learned a lesson that only Hello! Shops can replace lost sim card, which brought us from Vivo to West Mall. Luckily, there wasn’t much of a queue at West Mall unlike the iPhone 3GS madness...…
