living In St Louis

It’s been pretty boring thus far. Haha.. other than eat / shop, we have not really done much else. Sales at Osage Factory Outlet Village were pretty good and I got quite a number of items there, but it was an almost 3 hrs drive away and that sucks. Other than that, the usual malls here are pretty boring, been to St Louis Galleria and Mills thus far. Was thinking whether should make a trip down to see the Arch but everybody here have nothing positive to say about it so will probably not go check it out. I also...…

once Again, Off to America

Singapore time now is 5:40pm, its been 18 hrs since I left Singapore and I am still stuck on the plane. I also happened to be very bored. Haha… slept enough though so ain’t really that tired. This time around, happened to be my first experience with ANA and its pretty good, no complains about the food and service, the inflight entertainment has some of the newer shows but nothing really caught my fancy, ended up completing 2 shows, “Vicky, Christina and Barcelona” and “Suspect X”, recommended by Andy, the Galileo TV Series movie. I also watched part of “Seven...…

enjoying On-Course Status

Do you know? the average person has … 1. Public Holidays = 11 1/2 Days = 1 (Day off, misc etc) Annual Leave = 21 Medical Leave = 5 Organisation non working days = 2 Training = 4 For a total of 44 non-work days! And since no. of workdays in a year = 260, that leaves us with 216 working days. Hmm… fruit for thought. So if we are only to work 8 hrs a day, we are only productive for 20% of the time the entire year. Hmm.. maybe that’s why there’s just so much OT required. Anyway,...…

¡Yo hablo un poco de español!

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Sean, y estoy veinticuatro años de edad este año. Por cierto, yo hablo un poco de español.Hello! My name is Sean, and I am 24 years old this year. By the way, I speak a little Spanish :). I started Spanish lessons on Jan 21, and it runs every Saturday for 2 hours. I am currently into my 7th lesson now and while its difficult, its actually quite fun. The challenge is that learning any language needs alot of time and effort, which is something I am lacking. Normally, I only spend the Saturday as my...…

my New Toy

6 months ago, I re-contracted Starhub for the HP Mini-note 2133, at that time, I already had the intentions to get a netbook and was seriously considering the many iterations of the eeePC. The Mini 2133 then was really quite crappy, with a slow processor, overheating problems and poor battery life. With all this things going against it, I quickly sold it for $710. Only recently, Starhub started to offer the newer model, the mini 1000 as part of their recontract goodies and that got me interested. I sourced for one of them through the HWZ forums and found a...…

trip Down Memory Lane

I managed to dug up some of my old photos while doing all the Chinese New Year spring cleaning, and part of my plan of getting a all in one printer/scanner was to archive some of my old photos which I have not got around doing.Speaking of which, this year’s Chinese New Year was a pretty quiet affair, which was a good thing, though lonely. Grandma and most of the family had gone for a cruise and she had done a good job informing the usual visitors that nobody will be in. Had some time to just rest at home...…
