I first stepped into OCS 5 years ago, fresh from BMT as a chao recruit, to begin life as a 1-bar cadet. Disrupting for studies and coming back once again to finally be commissioned, has really been long awaited, and yet, rather dreaded as well. I guess, not being conditioned both mentally and physically for the OCS culture played some part there, as the few of us long term cadets really suffered in terms of physical fitness. We were to partake in IPPT and that was one bad experience as we had been having parade rehearsals and we weren’t fit...…
what A Difference a Year Makes
A brand new year yet… A few baggages from last year has rolled over to continue bugging me. My leg injury hasn’t fully recovered and my knee still acts up once in a while. Really can feel the body slowing down in terms of healing itself, and perhaps, never able to fully recover either. Well, it is still not all gloomy, I can still run / jog / skate / cycle just that quite often, after the activity, it will start to ache. gah. Long term injuries, those reports on soccer players tearing ligaments and what not, never seem possible...…
my Nickname
The nickname that has stuck with me the longest, the one that i kept using, partially due to it actually being recognizable. It all probably started in secondary 3. A trip to JB proved fruitful with a game titled Unreal Tournament. The single player mode was heckuva fun but it all started when I ventured online. Like everybody else, i started off as a noob, getting owned all the time. …
operation Little Green Men
The paintball event has been over a month now and the bruises that were left behind are long gone but the event is still one of the highlights of my course thus far. It was a short 2 match, each lasting probably around 2-4 min but was just good fun all around. …
making A Wish
Wishing upon a star.. That someone out there will be all tucked in bed.. Sleeping soundly and that the sweetest dreams may enchant her.. No random thoughts, no updates recently. Just been living day to day, somewhat free yet still finding free time lacking.. Days of attachment once again ending and saying goodbye to this freedom once more. Gosh, christmas is just around the corner too, with it slightly more than a month away, wee.. Holiday season coming up, the holidays that we always look forward to, will now be spent working. What a difference.. A year makes. …
where I Left Off
Not surprisingly, I ended up buying a car that wasn’t listed in the previous entry… (hmm, maybe a very close cousin to one of them). My dad helped me source a few parallel importers and we realised that the Honda Fit 2008 model was currently for pre-order and would arrive at the end of the year. It was selling at the same price as the current Honda Jazz from Kah Motors so what the heck, just be a little patient and I can get a newer model. …
